 'The Volunteer, Honiton - 14th April 2006. After hearing that Mark had left the band and then followed by Chappers; I thought that it would be the end for the band. How wrong I was. Drawn by the magical sounds from the Volunteer, I was amazed at how tight the band was! The new drummer, (who's name I have yet to learn) was amazing and is definitely not afraid to hit the drums with a great power whilst filling the sound with high velocity drum fills. This guy has to be the ideal guy for the replacement of the infamous Chappers.
The new bass player, Lee, is fast-fingered, powerful player that makes him almost as good as me! (Only kidding! He is far better!) Adding bass fills from all areas of the fretboard thickens the texture of the sound which ultimately makes the total sound explosive.
The band overall are back on form and are currently producing great music and high quality covers (The Kidds are Alright, The Who: GREAT STUFF!) So the band have returned in at a standard good enough to take anyone on. ' |
