The band are now back to a five piece and are sounding better than ever. To see where the guys are playing, visit there new myspace site at www.myspace.com/sweetblackangels Keep checking the diary and multimedia page for tour updates!! | | Published on: Thursday 27th April 2006 | | related web site | | | | SBA LOSE DRUMMER!! | IMPORTANT BAND NEWS!!! | | We regret to tell you that we have had to cancel the remainder of the gigs for March.
Due to personal reasons Chappers (drums) has decided to leave the band. We would like to take this opportunity to thank him for all the years he has played with us and for all he has done towards making the band what it is today. We wish him all the best for the future.
This does not spell the end of the band and ironically things have potentially taken a turn for the best as we are currently in talks with a promotion company which could see us supporting one of the UK's top bands during a national tour later this year.
However, we are currently drummerless and we also wish to take on a new bass player to replace Smoo and send him back to his guitar duties. So, we are again asking for your help in trying to find a drummer and bass player. If you have any family or friends who are or know a good drummer/bass player, who have had lots of experience and want to join the band on a full time basis and potentially tour the country with a top band please let us know.
We will keep you updated with any developments with the band etc...
You are welcome to post any comments in our guestbook on the website
We will be back to see you all soon!
Thanks

| | Published on: Wednesday 7th September 2005 | | | | Latest news update!! | Band News | | Welcome to the latest SBA update. Firstly we would like to apologise for our absence at our Battle of the Bands semi final, especially those that turned up to see us in particular. With the events in London the previous Thursday, some of the band felt that they were uncomfortable with going as a couple of them had family not too far away from the attacks and it had a bad affect on them. Again we apologise to all concerned. WE HAVE NOW ENTERED ANOTHER BOTB COMPETION IN THE SAME VENUE AND OUR HEAT IS ON SUN 25TH SEPT. Please check gigs page for more info.
Over the coming months we will be organising an extensive tour of the UK, we will also be organising gigs abroad. This tour is due to take place in the new year. What we would like are for you to e mail the band with any venues in your area regardless of where they are and even those from abroad. We are aiming to reach as many of you as possible with this tour and also expand our fanbase.
We have added some new things to our website. Check out the band info page for an exclusive interview with the band.
Also we have added new stuff to our merchandise, you can get there by following the link from the home page. Check out the doggy coat!!
Lastly, we have 3 major gigs over the summer and into the autumn. Firstly on August 11,12,13 and 14 we will be appearing at the Bulldog Bash in Stratford Upon Avon also appearing with us there are The Datsuns. | | Published on: Thursday 11th August 2005 | | | | Vintage Rock and Roll | Album Review (CD Baby) | Reviewer: Leon Palmer
In a time and a country where a frog can rule the charts, this is a timely reminder that good riffs, well scripted words and a pounding rhythm section can restore your belief in good old fashioned rock and roll. This album is the spritual brother of Definately Maybe, with the messiah as it's sister. Whether it's a soaring ballad or a cacophonous wall of sound rocker, this album delivers. | | Published on: Monday 6th June 2005 | | related web site | | | | BAND FEATURED ALONGSIDE AEROSMITH AND G'N'R!! | Band News!! | Sweet Black Angels are now playing on 18 other internet radio stations across the world and have recently been played alongside Aerosmith, Guns 'N' Roses and Neil Young! To find these stations just click on the link at the bottom of this article.
The second track to be released onto these internet stations will be 'Envy' and should feature on there within the next couple of weeks!
Our first single to go out to national radio in the UK will be 'I Know What You're Thinking' and this will be released next month to over 200 radio stations!
Last but not least! Our debut album 'Beneath Shadows' is now available from Solo Music in Exeter for just 8.99!!!
